Minutes 6/22/06

The SCAEYC Executive Board members: Vito Telischak, Jane Hutnik, Laura Boonham and Anna Corbo met to discuss some topics for thought during the summer months. These include rewriting the scholarship application, funfair, our 3rd year objectives, the book for the state conference and awarding the professional development award to Jennifer Rumore.

Treasurers Report
Vito Telischak said that we were solvent and had enough for next years scholarship. Jane Hutnik requested funds of $75 and $40 for filing the NAEYC 2 year report on Non-Profit Foreign and Domestic Corporations Form from Washington for SCAEYC.

Jane Hutnik informed us that NAEYC is enlisting a new Pubic Relations firm who will require us to do a new self study program in October, since ours is out of date. She also said we should think about topics for the fall training. She will try to put together an agenda 2 weeks before the next meeting and email it to members. We should also go over the different committees we have and their job descriptions so they can be revamped for our member handbook. We also need to look for ideas for obtaining the silver level.

Jane Hutnik will do our 2 year strategic plan to include our goal to increase membership at all levels. Jane also said she would talk to Barbara Young so that she could draft a letter or postcards to include the Family Child Care groups in our organization. She would get a list from NORWESCAP.

The date for the next May dinner was set for May 18th, 2006.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 and no date was set for the next meeting.

Jane Hutnik emailed everyone over the summer to say that the next meeting will be held on September 19th at NORWESCAP at 5:30.

Respectfully submitted,
Anna Corbo
Secretary
