Fun Fair

Fun Fair March 25th!!!!

Minutes from March 3, 2006

The SCAEYC Executive Board, along with members Maureen Greiner, Anna Corbo, Joanne Taylor and Jane Hutnik, met on March 3, 2006 at the offices of NORWESCAP.

Scholarship
Jane Hutnik stated that Laura Boonham has mailed 20 scholarship applications to various High Schools and Community Colleges.

Fun Fair
Pam Raynor had found 2 banners that were displayed for earlier fun fairs. The large street sign for Main Street in Newton was very dirty and it was too late to get the municipality to hang it. Jane will try to get her children to clean it with clorox and see if the state will get us funds for a new one. Maureen Greiner thought she had the specs for the previous banner and would try to find them.

Pam had only 2 people respond for tables at the Fun Fair. Anna Corbo will call centers that received the flyer and see if they are attending on March 15th and 16th. She will then call Pam [phone number] with the results. Jane will e-mail Anna with the list of centers. [as of this posting 11 centers are signed up].

It was decided that SCAEYC would supply tables with signs listing Center's names. They will then be collected and used to reserve Tables at the May dinner. Maureen Greiner will go to Staples and get the plastic signs, name badges and markers are needed for the fair.

Sparta Book Store will supply us with a number of children's books to sell at the Fun Fair. We will need to contact Vito Telischak to provide cash for change. it was decided that we needed $150 in $10's, $5's and $1's increments, $50 for book sale change and $100 for entrance change.

Director's Meeting
The next director's meeting will be March 21st at NORWESCAP's office and will be on "Children Biting".

Newsletter
Jane has gotten the newsletter together and another flyer on the fun fair. She needed to make some corrections and will then deliver it to Pam who will take care of mailing it.

May Dinner
Barbara young said that we did not need to elect any individuals this year. It was determined however that we did need to vote on two positions, Vice President and Treasurer. Maureen Greinerwill ask if Sharon Giacchino to be the speaker.

My Favorite Day
Jane had contacted Mickie Wood to type the book, but has not received an answer as of yet.

The meeting ended about 7:30 pm Next meetings will be March 20th at 5PM in the Cafeteria of Sussex County Community College to see about set-up.

Respectfully Submitted,
Anna Corbo, Secretary

A flyer will go out with the newletter along with a tear off indicating interest. Alan Robinson will talk about "Measures to Prevent Your Child from Being Kidnapped, Abducted & Sexually Exploited".
